The Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport represents a unique collaboration between two cities in different states, each home to a land-grant university –– all working closely together during the project’s years of planning and construction. The logo draws inspiration from the natural curves of the airport’s architecture, which itself mirrors the rolling hills of the Palouse landscape. Rather than a literal representation (is it a plane, bird, etc.), I wanted to embrace an abstract shape, allowing the design to subtly echo both the area’s terrain and the dynamic motion of flight.
